Drawing Update

First of all, I don’t even know what happened with this blog, I haven’t posted in months. Sorry, if there is anyone out there who even still looks at this blog, which I highly suspect there isn’t. Anyway, if you’re reading this now, then go and look at my ‘Drawing’ page (link in the sidebar>) and then compare those with the drawings I’m about to post here. I’m sure you’ll agree there’s a huge difference…

Dreamers

This is what I posted back in May, for the Charlie Challenge, #ccprompt23:

We know that you are all dreamers, so this is for you…

Prompt #23: Make a list of five ACTION steps you can make towards your DREAM. Commit to taking these steps by this time next month.

1. Flexibility – Get my splits back on *both* legs and get to work on box splits! Work on back flexibility and arabesque line too

2. Go skating a few times, watch YouTube videos beforehand, and try to pick up some new steps

3. Work on persuasion skills, to see if I can go see kyran bracken’s ice party on 2nd november, to see in particular Karen and Dan skate

4. Put even more effort into ballet so that I’ll be ready for the exam by July, and work on memory skills too, so I can remember the new exercises

5. Save any money that I happen to accumulate from anywhere, so that it can be put towards buying some new summer clothes, or skating

I came across it looking through my blog aimlessly for any kind of inspiration from anything I might have posted about, and thought it’d be good to see if now, a few months later I actually put any of those ‘action steps’ into actual action, or whether it was all just talk…

1. Flexibility – I have been working on this! I can do the splits on both legs and I’m so close to being down in middle splits it’s actually incredibly frustrating.

2. Skating – I haven’t been skating in so long, since like August :’( because I have no money, and my parents don’t have any to spare either, so yeah, that’s annoying too.

3. Ice Party persuasion – well that really backfired… One of my best friends went to see the show because they went to go stay in Blackpool for a few days and managed to get tickets, I however did not. Stupid money. And distance.

4. Ballet – be ready for the exam in July? What was I thinking, there must have been a screw loose? There’s no way on earth I could’ve been ready for that exam, anyway I’ve moved up a grade nevertheless because the Grade 7 class was removed from the timetable..

5. Save money – It’s very hard to save money when I’m not getting any from anywhere.

I Am Number Four

If you haven’t seen this film, starring Alex Pettyfer and Dianna Agron, then you definitely need to, ok? I’m just watching it again now, (it’s also a brilliant book btw). I only really knew about it because of Dianna, her being one of my idols – I went to see it with her in mind, but I think I would’ve enjoyed it just as much if she wasn’t in it too, if that makes sense? Not sure I would have gone for it as ‘my kind of film’ though.

Every time I watch it I have the real urge to get into photography and start a collection of amazing scrapbook like Sarah’s (Dianna’s character) because they’re amazing, I love her room, how artistic it is and all her photos hanging on the wall, many a scrapbook stored in her room, a secret from the rest of the world, her way of escaping. I just love how creative her character is.

I felt like I needed to attach some pictures to explain what I mean, also to remind myself I guess. Bad quality, because they’re from my tv… but you can see what they are. The last one is my favourite.

You Me and Charlie!

If you don’t know this website, then you need to, first of all, so go ahead and click this link, you won’t regret it, and you’ll come across all sorts of marvelous discoveries… —–> http://www.youmeandcharlie.com

I’m 100% sure I’ve mentioned this site before, created by the gorgeous Dianna Agron, and a fantastic invention at that. (Check out Dianna’s tumblr – which inspired the idea for You Me and Charlie – here: http://felldowntherabbithole.tumblr.com).

Anyway, today, 12.12.12 marks the site’s one year anniversary, and that makes me very excited! I can’t believe it’s been a whole year, it’s been amazing, and I can’t wait for it to continue to develop and change. It’s a brilliant way to discover new artists, music and other aspiring people, and a great environment for everyone to share the things they love.

Go check it out!:D

365 Challenge

I really wish I’d kept up to date with the 365 challenge I started nearer the beginning of the year, I had a feeling it wouldn’t last long and let’s face it I was right… but now I wish I’d finished it, and I’m going to try and finish it soon so I can see how far I’ve actually come since the beginning of it, and see what I’ve achieved from it, after all that was the whole point of it. Hmm.

Glee: Glease

Glease

The highlight of this episode to me was the return of the one and only Santana Lopez. Naya is just stunning. And she played Rizzo very well Ithought! Bravo for her coming back to Lima and help her old friends, but mainly for Britt ;) it’s so good to see them on good terms and talking
like nothing’s really changed, I love that. ‘There Are Worse Things I Could
Do’ is amazing, Naya’s voice is stunning whatever she sings though, it has powerful lot of vocals that can also come across so soothing. I loved the flashbacks in ‘You’re The One That I Want’ of Klaine and Brittana, they’re adorable. And Blaine performing ‘Beauty School Dropout’! What can I say, thesong caused a riot when it was released and it was an amazing performance too, Darren’s lower registeris incredibly hot.Though the performance is yet again sad because Blaine’s still hungup on Kurt and the way he’s sitting there in the audience is again all heartbreakingand sad… And Finn and Rachel’s scene at the end too, gah. The scene where the four of them; Rachel, Finn, Kurt and Blaine the fact that Kurt and Blaine could barely look
at each other just killed me, it was horrible. But Brittana are still on good terms, so that makes it slightly better.

Glee: The Role You Were Born To Play

The Role You Were Born To Play

Grease auditions! Blaine singing Hopelessly Devoted To You… sounding like a fucking angel. He’s so heartbroken over Kurt though because he knows he’s messed up and that horrible sad devastated look on his face that Darren portrays so well… It kinda annoys me that that’s how the storylines gone because Darren would be an absolutely amazing Danny! He has the hair and everything y’now…Also the return of Mike and Mercedes! I like Mike, Harry is an amazing dancer who I admire. I love Kitty and Jake’s performance of ‘Everybody Talks’. And Blake’s first episode! I think he did brilliantly in The Glee Project and he truly deserved to win and he earned
that role on the show. And he’s doing so well, I really love his character, Ryder, I think he’s a great addition to the cast, and the fact that Ryder is dyslexic, Iike that because it’s different to the other issues that have been addressed on the show, and I was beginning to wonder what else there’s left to do that they can make into a good storyline that will interest a lot of people.

Glee: The Break-Up

The Break Up

God. This was truly a horrible episode to watch, I haven’t re watched it at all… I just can’t bring myself to, I don’t know how people can, even with a big supply of ice cream, tissues and nutella, which are all definitely necessary if you’re going to attempt to watch the episode. I’m a huge Klainer and Brittana fan in particular, I don’t care much for Finchel but I still ship them I guess. I do want to see Rachel and Brody hook up and be involved in a relationship though, even though I do think that Finchel are endgame at the end of the day. When Blaine and Finn go to New York, that’s when the real drama starts. When Blaine tells Kurt he’s been with someone, you can actually hear every Klainer’s heart breaking from around the world, it’s so heartbreaking because you can tell how much it’s ripping Blaine apart and Kurt isn’t happy either, he knows something is wrong before Blaine has said anything, but he doesn’t want to believe what he’s hearing, he doesn’t want to believe it’s true because that means the trust between the two of them has been broken and the relationship is in a dangerous place.’Don’t Speak’ is a beautiful cover, but so heart breaking. The acting is absolutely ducking amazing from the four main members, and the way they all get in to bed whilst singing, facing away from one another, their hearts breaking because they know it’s the end but don’t want it to be. I think it’s fantastic how much the actors have grown so attatched to their characters and the couples within the show and the amount of energy and emotion they put into recording this episode in particular is outstanding, they make it seem 100 times more realistic and that makes the tears stream down your face even more when watching the episode. The Brittana break-up is just as heart breaking, you think it’s gonna be okay, because their song is ‘Mine’ by Taylor Swift and when you first hear it you don’t think there’s anything particularly heart breakingly sad about it, until the scene comes up. They have a mature, civilised conversation and Santana admits to having an ‘attraction’ which I don’t think is very realistic… I mean yeah, it happens I guess. So then after giving her explanation and explaining how she feels Santana proceeds to sing the song to Brittany, and beautifully so. Emotions get the better of her as she realises that her relationship with Brittany is coming to end or at least a break, and she’s not happy about it yet she still feels that it’s the sensible thing to do, bless her.

I didn’t expect myself to cry as much as I did over the Finchel break up because as I said I’m not a massive hardcore Finchel fan or anything like that, but it was so, ah. The fact that Finn took her to the same place where they had their first date, the first time they met and where he bloody proposed to her! That’s what makes it even worse, the fact that that auditorium means so much to them in their lives and their relationship. Ah. I sobbed like a baby.

And then the 4 week hiatus. Way to go. But hey, we all survived right?!
